We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our team at BlueScope. As a key member of our Australian Steel Markets business, you will play a critical role in supporting our Orrcon Steel business in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee governance requirements and support the team with conducting and reporting due diligence activities.
- Support the implementation of the Orrcon Steel Health, Safety and Environment plan.
- Coach and support leaders to understand their risk profile and critical controls, and actively seek higher levels of control.
- Deliver HSE advice to our leaders, thinking beyond the quick fix, to promote continual improvement in the engagement of people and management of risk.
- Oversee serious incident investigations, facilitating engagement to understand how work is done and adoption of fit for purpose solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in governance HSE management systems and critical risk controls.
- Ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Ability to promote and inspire innovation and change.
- Experience in incident investigation.
- Ability to work autonomously and balance day-to-day tasks.
