UGL's manufacturing and maintenance division is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join the locomotive maintenance team at our Hunter Valley facility in Hamilton North.
\The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting contract outcomes, maintaining revenue, gross margin, and cash flow expectations. Key responsibilities include:
\- Supporting reviews of contract scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements\
- Preparing, negotiating, and concluding subcontracts with subcontractors and suppliers\
- Generating project planning and management documentation as required by the contract\
- Participating in bid and tender efforts to ensure capabilities and requirements are met
\About the Role
\This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in contract management and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, and a passion for delivering results.
\\Requirements
\To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
\- A technical trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering\
- Ability to effectively advise, negotiate, influence, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders\
- Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or equivalent experience\
- Strong systems, operational, financial, resource planning, and reporting skills\
- Project Management qualification preferably AIPM Certificate IV or above\
- Experience gained in safety-critical environments such as rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics, or similar\
- Qualification or certification in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, 3P, Six Sigma, or similar
