Job Opportunity: Security and Risk Management

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security and Risk Manager. As a key leader in this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff.

About the Role

This full-time permanent position involves overseeing all aspects of security and risk management within our centre. You will work closely with stakeholders across the centre to develop proactive strategies that mitigate potential risks and ensure we are always ahead of any issues.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Hazard Identification and Response: Identifying potential hazards and responding to incidents, emergencies, near misses, and claims across the centre and region.
  • Servicing Service Delivery Agreements: Ensuring service delivery agreements meet performance expectations and providing feedback to contract managers for input into performance reviews and remedial actions.
  • Captain Training Program: Providing ongoing coaching to contracted staff on WHS legislation and obligations.
  • Safe Audit and Inspection Program: Adhering to safety audit and inspection program requirements within Centre and supporting compliance within the Region.
  • Nurturing Partnerships: Fostering constructive working relationships with internal and external partners, including customers, retailers, contractors, Police, Regulators, Emergency Services, and other stakeholders.

As part of your duties, you may also be required to participate in Duty Management, which may involve weekend shifts and balanced days off.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in security, exposure to risk management strategies, and a passion for retail property. You will possess:

  • A qualification or related experience in Work Health and Safety.
  • A strong background in risk and/or security management in retail property, hospitality, entertainment, leisure, or services organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training programs.
  • A working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems.
