Key Responsibilities:
  • Install floor coverings, including carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles, and other resilient materials, ensuring accurate patterns and precise cuts around fixtures.
  • Measure areas to be covered, review plans to estimate material requirements, prepare surfaces for covering, remove baseboard trims, measure, cut, and fix underlay materials.
  • Lay coverings, secure floor coverings, fit edge trims in doorways, sand, stain, and apply finishing coatings to timber floors.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in floor finishing or relevant qualification.
  • Expertise in current flooring requirements and industry standards.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Construction OHS card (white card).
  • Supply and maintain own commercial-grade tools.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
