This contract-based role commences immediately, offering a great chance to join a leading international drilling company. The ideal candidate will be based in South East Queensland for work in the Surat Basin.
The successful Land Drilling Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for the preventive, routine, and non-routine maintenance of land drilling rigs and the repair of internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors, and drilling-related equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Government regulations at the worksite.
- Rig mechanical maintenance including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date company paperwork.
- Pre-plan operational needs, organize equipment and supplies, and conduct testing as required.
- Promptly report accidents, near-miss accidents, non-conformances, and safety hazards to their immediate superior.
- Educate junior staff members on services and repair of mechanical equipment to facilitate their development.
- Ensure all employees are working safely and aware of potential hazards.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in their working areas.
- Work outdoors in all seasons and respond to callouts within 24 hours.
Additionally, the selected candidate must ensure that Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) are serviced and managed according to OEM guidelines.
