About the Business Restructuring Team

Our Business Restructuring group provides expert advice and support to businesses and financial institutions in times of need. Our team has extensive experience in corporate and personal insolvency, business restructuring, and turnaround management.

Current Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Sydney office. The successful candidate will assist with coordinating and progressing formal insolvency appointments, including voluntary administrations, receiverships, and liquidations. The role will also involve providing support on transactions and engagements, as well as developing junior team members and taking ownership of a portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and recommend strategies on complex matters to add value to clients.
  • Manage engagements, including risk mitigation, WIP management, and other associated tasks.
  • Design and develop financial models and reporting protocols.
  • Coordinate and prepare independent business reviews, safe harbour reviews, and associated proposals.
  • Report to lenders and creditors.
  • Identify and pursue legal claims and investigations in a timely manner.
  • Build and develop existing or new relationships.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA qualification (or currently undertaking).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of voluntary administrations, liquidations, and receiverships, as well as the personal insolvency market.
  • Ideal candidate has worked alongside solicitors, directors, bankers, and creditors.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Ability to influence effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced research and investigative skills, including financial analytics.
  • Experience coaching, guiding, training, and developing junior team members will be highly regarded.
