**Job Title:** Optical Fibre Splicer - Regional South Australia

**Job Type:** Full-time

**About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Optical Fibre Splicer to join our Telecommunications division based in Regional South Australia. As an Optical Fibre Splicer, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, and terminating fibre optic cable in Telstra and NBN networks.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure customer end equipment NTU, NTD, BTD.
  • Perform OTDR testing, use of power meter & light source.
  • Build fibre paths through new and existing networks.
  • Exchange transfers and patching.
  • Inbuilding cabling and external hauling.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS requirements to work safely.

**Requirements:

  • Experience working as an Optical Fiber Technician on a major telecommunication network.
  • NBN enable card - desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand cable plans and designs.
  • Confined Spaces - desirable.
  • Work Zone Traffic Management Ticket - mandatory.
  • Construction Induction - White Card.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical.
  • Ability to work away - Regional South Australia.
