About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Professional to join our dynamic team at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a key member of our Supportive team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional cleaning services to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures to minimize the risk of infection and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, clients, and patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols to prevent injury and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist the production teams to ensure patient satisfaction is achieved at all times, maintaining a clean and organized environment that meets the highest standards.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct, and participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.
  • Support Healthscope's safety and quality improvement initiatives in all aspects of safety, including Work Health & Safety.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience as a cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital, aged care, or medical setting.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and customer service skills to interact with staff, clients, and patients.
  • Attention to detail to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to commit to the flexibility of working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster, including afternoon, evening, and occasional night shifts.
