Job Title: Supply Chain Support Professional

This is a diverse role in a global organization where you will support multiple categories. You will be based in Brisbane, Qld.

About the Role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Support Professional who will support several categories in the Aluminium BU. The role will work closely with and support the Process Chemicals and By-Products Category leader on assigned projects which contribute to the delivery of optimal value and solutions to the Rio Tinto Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of reports across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories aligned to individual reporting requirements.
  • Providing analytical, commercial and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.
  • Supporting implementation of end-to-end supply chains.
  • Managing execution and day to day operations of the supply chain (i.e – scheduling, coordinating, communicating, monitoring etc).
  • Support global procurement raw materials and by-products categories with sourcing projects, category and contract management tasks (e.g. – contract execution, vendor performance reviews etc).
  • Engaging with, communicating to, and influencing global internal and external stakeholders.
  • Occasional site travel to Rio Tinto sites and vendor operations.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or above)
  • Proven time management skills, problem solving skills and ability to influence and negotiate;
  • Proven skills in applications such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel to be able to analyse data, generate reports, model commercial outcomes, and develop strategy documents, recommendation documents and interactive presentations.
  • Ability to articulate and present complex end to end supply chain solutions with internal and external stakeholders at all levels i.e –senior management through to operational stakeholders;
  • Experience in collaboration platforms, such as Sharepoint, Teams etc.
  • Experience in Power BI and SAP is desirable, but not essential.
  • An ability to work unsupervised, be a self-starter and take the initiative to identify and then drive opportunities for business improvement;
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot your skill sets to support the changing business needs that may involve training and/or personal development through new and emerging applications and platforms.
