Job Overview

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit on a permanent, full-time/part-time basis.

As a skilled Clinical Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care, problem-solving, and leadership within a specialist healthcare team.

Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring quality standards are met through expert planning, coordination, and management of nursing care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care using advanced clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with patients and caregivers to identify healthcare needs.
  • Adhere to documentation standards and coordinate work functions.
  • Undertake discharge planning and act as a mentor when required.
  • Develop and maintain rosters, support policy implementation.
  • Manage labour resources, allocate resources within budget when required.
  • Analyse data, promote workplace safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in meetings, quality activities, and professional development.
  • Accept individual responsibility and adhere to organisational policies.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who possesses:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialty.
  • Postgraduate tertiary qualifications applicable to healthcare team specialty (desired).
  • Advanced clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and coordination abilities in clinical patient care management.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collegiate healthcare team structure.
  • Familiarity with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
