Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide expert guidance to individuals with vision impairment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop, enhance, and maintain independence in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide information and support.
  • Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and communicate results with clients and case teams.
  • Develop and deliver personalized Orientation and Mobility programs.
  • Train clients in orientation and mobility techniques across various environments.
  • Evaluate and monitor client progress to ensure safety.
  • Foster the development of independence and problem-solving skills in clients.
Essential Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Orientation & Mobility and current COMS certification.
  • Ability to travel regularly for overnight stays.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and analysis skills.
