We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of equipment, including heavy earthmoving machines.

Responsibilities include carrying out preventative maintenance, field servicing, fault finding, and repairs to ensure projects run smoothly and safely. You will be responsible for continuous improvement of safe work practices, adhering to workshop rules and regulations, and liaising with managers daily.

  • Carry out regular maintenance checks on heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults in plant and truck fleet equipment
  • Maintain high standards while working to tight deadlines
  • Adept at Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency
  • Plan and maintain service schedules

To be successful in this role, you will require a current driver's license, forklift license, and at least 2 years' experience as a qualified Plant Diesel Mechanic. Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension, as well as basic auto electrical knowledge and competence with computers and digital diagnostics are essential.
