About the Role

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Education Specialist to join our team in the Education Services Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic vision of the department through your expertise in senior schooling practices and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of education strategies and initiatives that align with the department's vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including school senior leaders, regional stakeholders, and departmental teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on senior schooling practices, including curriculum and syllabus requirements, and post-school destinations.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the department's education priorities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in senior education roles, with a strong understanding of senior schooling practices and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Current full registration as a teacher, with a strong understanding of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) requirements.
