Dermatology Clinical Specialist

About the Role
Mater Misericordiae Ltd, a leading healthcare service in Queensland, is seeking an experienced medical professional to fill a Senior House Officer position in Dermatology. This part-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus and will involve working across Mater's Medical and Chronic Disease Services.
Compensation Package
The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of approximately AU$140-$180 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation. In addition, Mater offers various benefits, including salary packaging arrangements, access to education and professional development, and employee assistance programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality patient care in a safe and clinical environment within the Dermatology Department.
- Undertaking administrative, surgical, and clinical duties as required by the Director of Dermatology.
- Managing the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration among staff.
- Participating in audit activities and quality management initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Managing the clinical wait list and complying with established expectations.
- Clearly documenting all findings, results, and orders for patients in the medical record.
- Ensuring timely presentation of investigation results to consultants for optimal patient care.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of patients' medical and social situations to provide informed care.
- Staying up-to-date with relevant training and ensuring assessment forms are completed by supervisors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require registration as a medical practitioner without conditions with the Medical Board of Queensland. Additionally, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be punctual, polite, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
