About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH Corpus Christi. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
  • Clean residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment, as well as communal and administrative areas
  • Ensure common living areas, hallways, and other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
  • Replenish cleaning liquids and materials while observing safety procedures
  • Report stock shortages, breakages, building, equipment, or furnishing defects to the Residential Services Manager
Requirements
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees, and volunteers
  • Patience, common sense, and an understanding of client service
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate with discretion and maintain complete confidentiality
  • Commitment to work as part of a team
