Are you passionate about delivering high-quality services to the community? We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Library Assistant - Outreach Programs.

Located on the lower North Shore, our area offers a vibrant and diverse atmosphere with easy access to shops, cafes, and recreational facilities. We aim to provide best-value services and facilities while ensuring a sustainable future for our community.

As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with service delivery to children and young persons, and providing a quality Home Library Service to residents in Hunters Hill.

About You:

  • You hold a Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • You possess a current 'Paid Worker - Working with Children's Check' clearance (NSW).
  • You have a current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • You hold a current Police Check.
  • You have obtained your current year influenza vaccination.
  • You demonstrate commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • You can work effectively in a team environment.
  • You can work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • You possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have knowledge of children's and young adult programs.
  • You are skilled in storytelling.
  • You have previous public library experience.
