At AU1 COV - Covidien Pty Ltd, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement marketing strategies for advanced surgical technologies. As a Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for specific product portfolios in collaboration with other Product Managers in the department. This includes achieving optimal sales and margin returns at national, state, regional, and account levels through supply chain management, technical training, product expertise, pricing, digital strategy, and communication.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Formulating and reviewing corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific products or product lines.
  • Planning and implementing product launch excellence for new technologies and key products using an omnichannel approach.
  • Conducting competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audiences.
  • Determining the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.
  • Developing production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.
  • Working with other functions to finalize product specifications.
  • Providing advertising with core brand equity.
  • Serving as a technical advisor, demonstrating products, and troubleshooting product issues.
  • Responsibilities may also include coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
  • Complying with Medtronic's Finance and Legal policies and procedures, responding to both internal and external audit inquiries in a timely manner, and ensuring follow-up on action items to address audit recommendations.
  • Reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
  • Supporting field activities such as product upgrades, product evaluations, and customer conversions.
  • Serving as a marketing representative on contracts and tender activities.
  • Creating and updating marketing collaterals.
  • Ensuring regulatory submission, prioritization, and tracking.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree.
  • 2+ years of medical device experience in sales or marketing.

Nice to Have:

  • Competent analytical and computer skills.
  • Strong and demonstrable business acumen.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work very well independently and participate as a key member of a team.
  • Experience in contracts and tenders.
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to set individual goals and work within a team.
