About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring financial and accounting systems, ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators. You will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring systems, ensuring our service delivery aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management and Documentation: You will set up all NDIS Participant financial details to ensure efficient claims processing. You will create and review essential financial documents, conduct some data entry, and manage invoicing processes to guarantee timely and accurate billing.
- Debtor Management and Compliance: You will oversee debtor management through regular reviews and stakeholder liaison, addressing issues and correcting errors. Additionally, you will update the NDIA price guide to maintain compliance and conduct financial quality checks to ensure accurate data entry.
- Accounting and Financial Performance: Your responsibilities will include managing all accounting tasks for NDIS, processing credit card transactions, overseeing petty cash, and ensuring accurate end-of-month journal entries. You will conduct utilisation and fee-for-service reviews while reviewing daily bank statements for accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Process Development: You will stay updated on quality standards and maintain regular communication with the NDIS Manager. Collaborating closely with the NDIS Manager and Support Officer, you will develop processes tailored to operational needs and identify systems that support the growth of NDIS services.
- Quality Assurance and Training: You will ensure compliance with the internal audit schedule and monitor quality standards in preparation for agency audits. Additionally, you will maintain access to MyPlace and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission portal, while providing training and support for staff on NDIS plan budgets and service delivery.
