Plastics Sector Injection Moulding Equipment Specialist

About Our Organisation: A leading manufacturer in the plastics sector, committed to delivering high-quality products, seeks an experienced Technician.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting injection moulding machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up injection moulding machines according to production schedules.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to mould setup, machine operation, and product defects to minimize downtime and waste.
- Performing quality checks as specified and monitoring production runs to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of mould changes, machine settings, and quality specification, reporting any abnormalities or deviations.
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements in the injection moulding department.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience as a Technician.
- Proficiency in mould setup, troubleshooting, strong mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in injection moulding.
- Attention to detail, commitment to product quality, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
