Driver - Container and Logistics Specialist

The role involves ensuring the efficient delivery of containers to our clients, managing logistics, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick up and return 20, 40 & 48 foot containers from the rail terminal and deliver to our depot or direct to the customer.
  • Perform local metro pickups with a tautliner trailer.
  • Work autonomously without micromanagement, focusing on timely container deliveries.
  • Build relationships with customers while ensuring smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • HC Licence: Auto or Unlimited HC licence with at least 2 years' experience driving, loading, and unloading.
  • Skel Trailer & Container Experience: Comfortable handling 20ft, 40 and predominantly 48 Foot containers and reversing trailers confidently in tight spaces.
  • Transport Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Melbourne Metro routes and an understanding of rail/container logistics.
  • Safety First Attitude: Understanding and practice of Workplace Health & Safety and transport industry safety procedures.
  • Pre-employment Checks: Willing to provide a driving record, police check, and complete a pre-employment medical which will include drug and alcohol testing.
