About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator to join our team in developing and delivering an Object-Based Learning (OBL) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating hands-on workshops aligned with student learning outcomes and working closely with students to build critical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the OBL Program, leveraging our special collections and objects from exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including academics, students, artists, and community groups, to produce rich and engaging object-based learning experiences.
  • Develop and maintain documentation used in educational programs.
  • Evaluate and ensure safe object handling procedures and collection assessments in Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, and Records (GLAMR) environments.
  • Demonstrate an example of a specific project where you worked with diverse stakeholders and delivered a result.
  • Develop an education program and deliver it from beginning through to delivery.
  • Work collaboratively on tight deadlines or in dynamic environments with creative teams.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent level of competence gained through any other combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with object-based learning and/or experiential learning programs in the GLAMR sector.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the practical operations of an education program, as well as planning and reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of intellectual property, copyright, and moral rights laws and conventions as they relate to exhibitions and special collections.
