About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide therapeutic care and support to young people in our residential houses located across the Hamilton area.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of young people and excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage well with them.

As a Residential Care Worker at MacKillop Family Services, you will work collaboratively to provide a safe and nurturing home for young people and be passionate about their development.

Responsibilities include responding to young people's emotional and functional needs, supporting the development of their personal skills, undertaking household duties such as cooking and cleaning, and engaging in administrative tasks such as updating reports and records.

Whilst previous experience working with young people is preferred, we encourage individuals without prior experience who are passionate about making a difference in young people's lives to apply.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • A valid and current Driver's Licence.
  • A satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop).
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check.
  • A valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application).
