Job Title: Activities Attendant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Activities Attendant to join our team at qualia, a luxury resort located on Hamilton Island. As an Activities Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their beach and water activities are safe and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide impeccable service to meet the expectations of our guests
  • Have a strong and thorough knowledge of all beach activities and be proficient in them and able to teach our guests
  • Ensure all equipment is stored, maintained and checked to maximise guest and instructor safety
  • Be constantly alert to tide and weather changes ensuring the safety of guests and equipment
  • Assist guests with a range of sporting equipment including kayaks, snorkels and SUPs
  • Conduct a guided tour of Whitsunday Peak, the highest peak in the Whitsundays
  • Perform guided sailing on our fleet of Hobie catamarans

Requirements

  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Excellent time management skills & ability to adapt & personalise activities
  • Coxswain Grade 3 or above qualification (essential)
  • Open / unrestricted driver license (essential)
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR (essential)
  • QLD or Nationally accredited RSA (essential)
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and great problem solving skills
  • Use initiative and have a proactive and positive attitude to assist team members to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Dedicated to stay minimum of 12 months & passionate about progressing in career
  • Previous experience in similar role will be highly regarded
