We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatrician to join our dedicated team in a rural setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist/Consultant Paediatrician to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of regional and remote Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to children and adolescents in a 30-bed dedicated paediatric ward.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 6 consultants and 6 Registrar positions to deliver comprehensive paediatric services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities to support the development of junior medical staff.

The Hospital is a 189-bed acute secondary care service, providing a range of medical services, including emergency, intensive care, maternity, and paediatric care. The hospital is accredited with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and has links to external research organisations.

Requirements
  • Must have general and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Appropriate specialist qualifications (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to assume administrative responsibilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
