Key Responsibilities- Facilitate evidence-based group therapy programs to enhance patient understanding and coping strategies.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient-centered care, working closely with nursing and admitting psychiatrists.
- Assess and manage crisis situations, providing short-term solution-focused individual therapy.
- Develop and facilitate specialized therapeutic programs, including the creation of program resources.
Pine Rivers Private Hospital is a 70-bed acute mental health hospital located in a regional area. We provide a range of inpatient, day patient, and specialty mental health services, with a strong focus on patient-centered care. Our Allied Health team is comprised of experienced professionals who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements- Demonstrated expertise in assessing and delivering therapeutic interventions for adults with mental health concerns.
- Understanding and experience in applying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- Registration with AHPRA (as applicable).
- Recognized endorsement of Clinical Psychology practice with AHPRA and board approval for supervision.
- Understanding of and experience in Compassion Focused Therapy/Mindful Self Compassion.
- Understanding of and experience in treating addiction.
- Training and experience in delivering Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
- Art-based/Creative Therapies.
