The Role:
This exciting opportunity exists for an Australian-qualified lawyer to join our high-performing Construction & Infrastructure Team. We're looking for a technically strong lawyer with exceptional client service skills, who is eager to help us build our practice further.
You'll be working with a dynamic team of lawyers on a broad range of commercial matters, serving small, medium, and enterprise-level clients. Our team focuses on providing efficient, cost-effective, and quality legal services.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of construction contracts, including Australian Standards (construct only and design and construct), Residential Building Contracts (all States and Territories), Consultancy Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, and ECI Agreements.
- Advise clients on contract procurement strategies.
- Assist with contractual claims and interpretation.
- Advising clients on regulatory compliance matters such as security of payment claims, DBP Act and RAB Act compliance, and residential and commercial building industry licensing requirements (all States and Territories).
Requirements:
- Quality experience: 2+ years' experience from a reputable legal environment, with demonstrated experience working on commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
