Job Title

Sydney Trains is seeking an Engineer to join our Engineering & System Integrity Team.

This role will see you design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.

About the Role
  • As a member of our team, you will assist in the provision of authoritative expert engineering innovation, planning, advice and design in the relevant electrical engineering discipline.
  • You will also assist in the preparation and evaluation of technical feasibility studies and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the relevant electrical systems infrastructure database.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality, timely and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
  2. Assist in tender preparation for Request For Tender (RFT) submissions throughout the process.
  3. Develop and communicate engineering innovations relating to the relevant electrical sub-discipline technology.
  4. Identify issues and problems related to technical specifications, budgets, safety, quality, environmental, standards and resourcing by following established procedures.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in civil, electrical, mechanical or mechatronics disciplines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, standards and regulations relating to Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge in the design and planning of electrical infrastructure.
