Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion in the community.

This role requires delivering care and support aligned with participants' goals and care plans, including personal care, domestic duties, and community participation.

  1. Deliver care and support aligned with participants' goals and care plans.
  2. Provide personal care including showering, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  3. Assist with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping.
  4. Support with community participation, recreational activities, and transport.
  5. Administer or assist with medication in accordance with training and care plans.
  6. Accurately document progress notes, incident reports, and any changes in participant condition.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent. Availability for sleepover shifts is essential.

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (if applicable).
  • Valid Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination proof (as per industry standards).

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with other team members, health professionals, and family members, promoting a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities.

What We Are Looking For
  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
