We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Your key responsibilities will include providing personal care and assistance to clients, assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and transportation, and supervising medication intake. You will also be required to assist clients with physical activities such as hydrotherapy, music therapy, or recovery therapy, and provide companionship and social skills training to build confidence and independence in clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A minimum of 2 years' experience in disability support is required, along with a Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support.
This is a full-time position, paid in accordance with the relevant award. Salary is $75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
