About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Mindarie Keys Medical Centre, with a primary focus on supporting skin procedures. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic RN who is passionate about delivering high-quality procedural care, specifically in dermatology. While general practice duties are part of the role, this position will focus primarily on assisting with skin-related medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with skin procedures, including biopsies, excisions, suturing and lesion removals.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedural care, ensuring patients are well-informed and comfortable throughout their experience.
  • Maintain a sterile environment during procedures, preparing equipment and ensuring all supplies are ready.
  • Perform general practice nursing duties on a minimal basis, including immunisations, wound care, and stock ordering, with a focus on procedural care.
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care and ensure effective communication for follow-up treatment.
  • Manage and organise pathology specimen collection for accurate and timely processing.
  • Provide support to the clinical team, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow during high-demand periods.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in skin procedures or a strong interest in dermatology and procedural nursing.
  • Background in General Practice or primary health settings.
  • Experience in Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments (an advantage).
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage fluctuating levels of demand, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
  • Experience with Best Practice software (an advantage).
