Job Description:

This is a highly skilled teaching role that focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and fostering exceptional student learning outcomes.

  • Demonstrate mastery of teaching and learning best practices
  • Model exemplary classroom practice through expert teaching demonstration lessons
  • Collaborate with school leaders to develop a shared vision for effective teacher practice
  • Lead the implementation of school-wide initiatives focused on curriculum planning and delivery excellence
  • Play a key role in the design and delivery of professional learning opportunities, including process development and observation protocols for teacher feedback and peer collaboration
  • Model and promote evidence-based instructional strategies to support teacher growth and development
  • Provide actionable feedback to educators to inform their effectiveness and development
  • Offer expertise on context, processes, and strategies that shape individual and school professional learning
  • Supervise and mentor one or more student teachers while coaching and mentoring teaching staff
  • Model the effective use of student data to inform teaching approaches
  • Develop and promote school-wide professional learning structures, processes, and protocols through collaborative Professional Learning Communities
  • Embark on continuous professional learning by seeking feedback from colleagues and leaders on your own teaching practice as part of reflective inquiry to improve performance
