**Product Specialist Job Description**

This role involves working safely and adhering to established safety procedures, reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor, and reading, understanding and complying with all written and verbal procedures or standard work instructions (SWIs). The employee must also read, understand and follow all product run charts and SWIs to ensure accurate production scheduling, including packaging of products onto pallets.

Key responsibilities include identifying and gathering necessary tools, materials and components to meet production schedules, decanting and weighing raw materials using scales and other measurement equipment, operating overhead cranes and using hand and power tools, ensuring accurate record-keeping and storage of production documents and relevant information, assembling and inspecting moulded products as per SWI or direction, and informing the supervisor of any quality, product or machine issues or concerns.

The Product Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area, participating in safety, quality, cost reduction and other activities as requested, assisting the Moulding Specialist as required, and complying with occupational health and safety regulations and policies while engaging in safe working practices.

Additionally, this role requires effective communication with people via written documentation to give or receive straightforward facts, dealing with routine inquiries from other sections within the plant, minimising conflict at work, regularly communicating with the supervisor to advise of issues/progress, providing customer service to both internal and external customers that meets their needs, and obtaining feedback from customers and effectively dealing with or referring issues to the appropriate level.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, applicants must have Year 10 and/or Certificate II or equivalent experience, be able to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, areas, circumference and volumes, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or table form, and possess rotomould or plastics manufacturing experience and a driver's/forklift license.
