Procurement Expert Sought

We are looking for a seasoned procurement expert to join our team and take on a key role in shaping our supply chain.

About this Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can build strong alliances with suppliers, negotiate the best value, and drive improved outcomes for the business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of analyzing costs, identifying opportunities for savings, and implementing cost-saving initiatives from procurement to pay.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing new and managing existing strategic supply partners
  • Driving synergies across the supply chain in areas such as food, utilities, uniforms, PPE, and service overheads
  • Conducting internal audits to review costs and detect potential savings
  • Developing business cases and sourcing strategies
  • Managing end-to-end cost-saving initiatives
  • Maintaining supplier contract files and registers
  • Authorizing payments for non-standard product purchases
  • Identifying opportunities to bring new and/or improved products and services to designated categories
  • Solving supply chain issues as they arise
  • Building relationships between procurement, culinary, and accounts payable teams
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements for Success:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Experience working in the catering industry essential
  • Proficiency in BI and spend analytics reporting preferred
  • Ability to adapt, develop, and maintain customer and vendor relationships
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of cost drivers and principles
  • Ability to build rapport with staff members across all levels of the organization
  • Strong business acumen and computer skills
