Bakery Professional

We are seeking an experienced Bakery Professional to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Mixing, kneading, maturing, moulding and shaping mixtures before baking;
  2. Finishing pastry products such as glazing, decorating and icing;
  3. Baking and decorating of cakes and tarts;
  4. Ensuring that products are prepared on time, up to the required standard;
  5. Inventory management;
  6. Ordering, receiving and checking supplies;
  7. Emptying, cleaning and washing baking trays, tins & other cooking equipment.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in a bakery environment;
  2. A Certificate III in Baking;
  3. Previous experience in Japanese bread and cake techniques such as tangzhong, poolish, milk bread, cotton cheesecake and water bath baking is highly valued;
  4. Hand mould dough experience is essential;
  5. Experience in laminating danish dough, including duo tone danish pastry;
  6. Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth day-to-day operations;
  7. Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
