Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end ownership of every order placed, including tracking timely deliveries of ordered products and services.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and effectively, from initial placement to final delivery. This includes expediting late deliveries, resolving billing errors, and updating information in information systems.

You will work closely with the relevant area to process trade control documents, including Commodity Export Classification Certificates (CECCs) and End User Undertakings. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in handling exceptions such as advance, cancelled, and deferred purchase orders.

You will also be responsible for managing shortages, delays, and returns proactively, ensuring that order-related dates are kept up to date in the ERP system. In addition, you will resolve billing issues related to ordered products or services and manage disputes that prevent billing of orders under your responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of order management processes and the ability to request quotes and use them to place orders. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and expand internal and supplier relationships.

A professional approach to commercial contracts and general terms and conditions is essential, as well as a well-developed sense of priorities, accurate self-assessment, and the ability to anticipate, be proactive, and generate added value.
