Merchandise Planner

We're looking for a talented Merchandise Planner to join our merchandising team in this newly created role. The successful candidate will support our merchandising Director with the newness buy plan, ensuring adherence to open-to-buy (OTB) and buying plan guidelines while considering seasonality, global availability, and the use of lower-impact materials.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Newness Buy Plan, factoring in style count, category, average unit cost (AUC), unit depth, and other key metrics.
• Take ownership of the weekly Newness OTB roll-up, providing guidance on areas that need adjustments to maximize performance.
• Provide reporting to ensure the Newness team has clarity over budgets & performance by category on a weekly/monthly view/YTD view.
• Ensure daily data integrity to implement correct strategies that meet financial goals.
• Pull and analyze data from multiple sources such as Inventory Planner, Excel, and Shopify.
• Identify areas of risk and opportunity, offering actionable insights and strategies to the team.
• Build and manage Newness reporting, including Weekly Bestsellers, Trade Data, and Monthly Flash Forwards. Provide analytics for recovery plans on struggling categories.
• Work collaboratively with teams in the US and Australia, building strong relationships across departments and maintaining open communication channels.

• 3+ years of analytical experience, preferably in merchandise planning, buying, or a similar role.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships.
