Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to provide project guidance and support to our business units across NSW.

About the Role:

  • Partner with the business to deliver environmental risk management through management of key projects
  • Implement strategies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Facilitate reporting, investigation and management of environmental incidents
  • Assist with the development, planning and preparation of Environmental action plans for various sites business units
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement improvement initiatives and technical programs of work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management systems
  • Conduct site visits and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees on environmental policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain environmental permits and licenses
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate environmental risks

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in blue collar, high risk industry environments is ideal but not necessary
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills
  • Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
