Quality Assurance Specialist

Inland Rail is delivering a 1,600km freight line that will transform how goods are moved across Australia. The project aims to connect Melbourne to Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, addressing the nation's future freight needs and meeting the demands of our growing population.
As one of the largest infrastructure projects in Australia, Inland Rail will help shift more goods onto rail, resulting in safer roads, fewer emissions and a more resilient national freight network.
About this role: Are you passionate about driving excellence and ensuring the highest standards in engineering delivery? You will assist the Completions Manager in the Project Delivery of Operational Readiness, Configuration Management, Delivery and Handover of the program of works within scheduled timeframes, meeting quality expectations and within a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve contractor quality documentation, including management plans, audit programs, and reporting metrics.
- Assess quality records for design and construction deliverables, ensuring compliance and completeness.
- Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs), lot status, and operational readiness deliverables.
- Conduct competency checks to verify personnel qualifications and training.
- Release hold and witness points, ensuring proper notification and documentation.
- Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and implementation within major infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of work health and safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- You will join one of the largest infrastructure programs in Australia.
