About the Role:
Ryvu Therapeutics is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company focused on novel small molecule therapies that address emerging targets in oncology.
We are seeking a highly experienced scientist in the field of hematology oncology to strengthen our Translation Research teams within Translational Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead biological research in the hematology oncology field, aiming at successful accomplishment of assigned tasks in terms of results, timelines, costs, and quality.
- Design research strategy within the project, critical analysis, and interpretation of biological results.
- Proactively seek out new information in the literature and incorporate this into individual projects as well as the overall program.
- Identify and propose new research initiatives and methods/technologies.
- Mentor team members.
- Collaborate with scientists of different specializations to achieve strategic goals.
- Presentation of research results at internal meetings with immediate supervisor and project leader, project team meetings, and also at scientific conferences and business meetings.
Requirements:
- PhD with preferably 2+ years of experience in academia or industry or MSc degree with at least 4 years of relevant post-educational experience.
- Previous experience in the field of hematology oncology is strongly preferred.
- Technical expertise with primary cell culture, standard molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry.
- Knowledge of genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data generation and interpretation would be an advantage.
- Practical experience with analysis software such as Flow Jo, Graph Pad Prism, Excel is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage large amounts of data and to supervise less experienced scientists.
- Experience in independent work on projects (or a dedicated part of more complex projects).
- Experience in leading scientific collaborations.
- Analytical thinking approach, literature search skills, ability to work independently on a certain topic.
- Strong motivation to learn and adopt new experimental techniques.
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
