Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Head Medical is seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our team in the Gold Coast, Queensland. As a key member of our youth mental health service, you will provide clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and management of young adult patients with severe complex mental health problems.
About the RoleThe Gold Coast Health youth mental health service is a leading provider of services for the 18-25 age group, working within a developmental, systemic, and family-oriented framework. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of young adult patients with severe and complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and management of young adult patients with severe complex mental health problems.
- Lead the development of innovative new models of care, building on existing services for management of acute crisis and early psychosis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to young adult patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the complex needs of young adult patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent. You will also need to have experience working with young adult patients with severe and complex mental health needs.
