About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is a critical position within our DMC Quarry team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our fixed and mobile plant and equipment. This involves providing in-house mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance to eliminate costly downtime and lower operating costs.

The successful candidate will be site-based, with approximately half their time spent on the tools. They will provide effective and efficient technical advice and administrative support in planning and management of mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance to achieve industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and support in planning and management of mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance
  • Ensure the optimal performance of fixed and mobile plant and equipment
  • Eliminate costly downtime and lower operating costs
  • Provide in-house mechanical repairs, service, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with the team to foster a positive working environment and promote proactive and effective communication
Requirements
  • Background in Heavy Plant, Mechanical, and Business processes
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service
  • Proven management skills, practices, and planning ability
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating, and administering contracts
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly effective planning, organising, and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence others
  • Ideally a Trade Certificate – Heavy Plant
  • Current Drivers Licence
