Senior Design Engineer Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience leading design projects and managing cross-functional teams.

  • Leading the development of structural designs for large-scale building projects
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10-20 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a consulting environment
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience managing medium-to-large scale projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in ETABS, RAPT, and/or SPACEGASS (or similar) design software
