Job Title: High-Voltage Power Systems Lead

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead our High-Voltage Power Systems team in Adelaide.

The ideal candidate will have experience in design of AC Power substations, technical checking and verification of design packages, and working knowledge of AS/NZS and Defence electrical design standards and practices.

The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to develop engineers' competence in areas of design and regulatory requirements, and a well-developed understanding of electrical design software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of electrical engineers, producing technical work packages and documentation, and ensuring all safety, quality, regulatory and environmental requirements are met.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience of leading teams
  • Professional experience in design of AC Power substations
  • Ability to conduct technical checking and verification of design packages
  • Prior experience of Defence projects (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AS/NZS and Defence electrical design standards and practices
  • Working knowledge of electrical design software: ETAP, CYMCAP, PowerCad or similar
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar to allow eligibility for membership to the Institution of Engineers Australia in the category of Chartered Professional Engineer
  • Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical and operational problems and issues
  • Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to achieve agreed targets and timelines using effective teamwork and delegation
