About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Aerospace Program, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Shift Team Leader, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Ensure all maintenance and technical documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately record details of work performed and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Report defects, deficiencies, and maintenance errors to the Team Leader.
  • Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorised level.
  • Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting as directed.
  • Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and operated correctly.
  • Perform hangar and/or workshop duties as required.
About You
  • A Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) is required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, within a workshop or hangar environment is essential.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance of "Baseline" is required.
  • An understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) regulations is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to work within a dynamic and strong team environment is required.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety is essential.
