Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our team as a Head of School. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary individual to lead the growth and development of a new campus, catering to students in Years 9-12.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of teaching and learning, student wellbeing, and day-to-day operations of the campus. They will work closely with other Heads of School and executive leaders to facilitate the creation and delivery of high-quality holistic learning programs.

This role requires a strong educational background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, committed to excellence, and have a deep understanding of effective teaching and learning practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actioning approved development plans and implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Draft production of annual reports and staff management, including recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary action.
  • Ensuring compliance against Indie standard operating procedures and managing day-to-day operations of the campus.
  • Assisting with efficiency analysis, planning, and implementations of school improvements.
  • Undertaking high-level creative and effective planning, programming, and managerial functions.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of effective teaching, learning, and classroom management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience as an exemplary teacher and educational leader within a school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work within a team environment.
  • High-level decision-making skills with minimal consultation to upper management.
  • Qualification in Teaching and current VIT registration (VIC).
  • National Police Check and Australian Driver's Licence.
