About the Role

Blackbaud Pacific is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to join our fast-paced Solution Engineering team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for presenting Blackbaud solutions to prospects and customers in a compelling and value-based approach.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong desire to leverage your technical and sales skills, including the ability to discover business requirements, prescribe comprehensive solutions, and demonstrate the technology that addresses these requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives to provide customer-facing consultation in support of direct sales pursuits of Blackbaud solutions
  • Maintain and improve in-depth technical understanding of at least one Blackbaud solution
  • Assist with sales pursuits for customers and prospects
  • Lead discovery and initial requirements gathering sessions with customers and prospects, translating key pain points into solution opportunities
  • Deliver solution demonstrations for customers based on key pain points uncovered in discovery, including Blackbaud partner solutions
  • Prescribe packaged implementation or consulting offerings based on customer needs
  • Answer a variety of functional and technical questions from customers and prospects funnelled through the sales team
  • Provide functional and technical responses to customer RFPs, RFIs, and other direct requirements
  • Work with Blackbaud partners to ensure strong alignment of partner solutions with market needs
  • Stay abreast of market trends and be able to speak to best practice internally and externally

Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge or experience working with Blackbaud products is strongly preferred
  • Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to executive-level and working-level audiences
  • Ability to translate technical features into business benefits
  • Analytical and a knack for problem-solving, with high attention to detail

Blackbaud is a 'Remote First' organisation, and this role will be delivered remotely. Working hours will be based on the Australian Eastern time zones (AEST and AEDT), however, public holidays will apply to your home location.
