Children's Welfare Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Protection Specialist to join our team in the Murrumbidgee District.

This challenging yet rewarding role involves responding to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, family members, children or young people
• Collaborate effectively with other agencies to achieve positive outcomes
• Support families in developing strategies to address safety and well-being concerns
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety plans
• Manage complex cases involving high-needs and high-risk clients and their families
• Participate in court processes, including document preparation and attendance

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, combined with relevant experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients
• A valid driver's license (P1 or above)
• A paid working with children clearance number
