Principal Electrical Engineer

At Design & Build Recruitment, we are seeking a seasoned engineer to lead our electrical team in the design of primary substations. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a critical role in shaping Australia's energy future.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in the design of high-voltage transmission systems. They will be responsible for delivering complex designs that meet strict safety and regulatory standards.
">Key responsibilities include:
- Developing comprehensive designs for primary substations up to 500kV
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure clash-free and optimized designs
- Reviewing system studies and performing design calculations
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proven experience as a primary engineer on major energy infrastructure projects
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering)
- CPEng or working towards it
- Membership or eligibility with a relevant engineering body
