About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic within our Australian business, available for an individual with strong initiative and work ethic to join a supportive and collaborative team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for following service guidelines and data, as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. You will report daily to the Shift Supervisor, however ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, including welds, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Relevant Trade Qualification in Welding/Fabrication/Boiler Maker/Vehicle Builder
  • Previous experience with aluminium welding to AS/NZS 1665
  • Previous experience with basic vehicle maintenance repair work (Re-packing bearings, trailer servicing)
  • Must hold a current Driver's License
  • Willingness to undertake ASIC background checks for security access
  • COVID-19 Vaccination completed
