As a library officer, you will be responsible for acquiring and accessing mainly non-subscription resources.

About This Role
  • To succeed in this position, you will need to have experience in acquisition and access of library resources in physical and digital formats, including original cataloging using industry standards and tools.
  • You should also possess knowledge of automated library systems, preferably Ex Libris products like Alma and Primo.
  • In addition, you will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and team goals.
  • A growth mindset and readiness to adapt to new technologies will also be essential.

This role is part of a team that supports technological advancements like AI and assists with RMIT Library projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, catalogue, process and troubleshoot digital and physical library resources.
  • Maintain Digital Collections, which comprises RMIT-created, digitised or licensed resources for learning, teaching, marketing and promotional purposes.
  • Support the team on RMIT Library projects.
